About Me
I create conversations that illuminate awareness already present though perhaps inactive, in order to shape a self or an organization equal to the uniqueness of their vocation and purpose. I help individuals and organizations recognize their inherent strengths and vulnerabilities so they may courageously confront themselves in fresh ways, developing an authentic presence to make the important invitations, frame the right questions and engage the important conversations with confidence and passion.
I’ve served a variety of businesses of various sizes, multi-generational family partnerships, health care organizations and educational institutions.
As a psychotherapist I work with adults, and as consultant with founders and executives within organizations. I serve on the faculty of the Tampa Bay Institute For Psychoanalytic Studies teaching on the interrelationship between psychology and spirituality. I practice in Winter Park, FL and Whidbey Island, WA. I enjoy being the father of two boys, restoring vintage trucks, board games (surfing, paddleboarding) and wondering about things.
I look forward to supporting your discernment around any critical, necessary leadership conversations you’re considering, be they personal or professional.
Education & Training
I hold a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the Pacifica Graduate Institute, Santa Barbara, CA, and B.A. and M.A. degrees in theology from Biola University and Talbot School of Theology, La Mirada, CA. I work with individuals, couples and families in private practice, and currently serve on the post-graduate faculty of the Tampa Bay Institute for Psychoanalytic Studies. Previous teaching assignments include Rollins College, The Seattle School of Psychology & Theology and the University of Central Florida.
